We have been involved with projects at Harewood House Trust for over 30 years, and have worked on many of the numerous historic and listed buildings on the estate, ranging from Grade I to Grade II.

Over the years there has been a wide range of projects of varying scale and complexity, including detailed building condition surveys, design and specification of substantial fire safety works to the main house, and stable block repairs & conversions. During this time, we have carried out various duties including acting as lead designer, planning supervisor and CDM co-ordinator.

As a result of one of our surveys, substantial timber decay and other defects were identified throughout the main roof and a full scheme of full re-roofing was commissioned to the main house, for which we provided specialist conservation consultancy services, architecture, building surveying, quantity surveying and project management.

We were required to interpret the appropriate elements from The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) philosophy, English Heritage constraints and maintain tight financial control.
